I'm at the age where sleeping in a hotel is a problem. I take one look at those fluffy white pillows and luxurious rolling white caps of a comforter and I roll my eyes. It's too soft or too hard or too cold or too lumpy. Coupled with the noise in the hall, it's a tossing and turning disaster waiting to happen.
I miss my bed!
Our Young Leaders' Life teens are giving up their beds for a night in solidarity with teens across the nation that are homeless. The Leaders (our teens) will sleep in uncomfortable places instead of their beds in exchange for your donations.
Every dollar goes to Covenant House.
We've partnered with Covenant House for their national campaign to aid homeless teens. Covenant House's Sleepout has helped provide 4,000 youth with stable housing, 16,000 youth with employment, and 720,000 nights of shelter (https://www.covenanthouse.org/sleepout).
Join us as we do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with our God (Micah 6:8)! Our sleeping out will draw attention to the injustice of teen homelessness. We will actively speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves (Proverbs 31:8) in the name of loving God who has not forgotten even one. And our teens are proof of that!
